TrueNorth Travel Medical is an accident and sickness plan for Canadian residents which covers emergency medical and repatriation for a single international trip. Plan also includes 24/7 travel assistance services. Not available for purchase in New Brunswick, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Yukon. Not available for travel to Israel or countries restricted by Canada Global Affairs.

  • Unlimited emergency medical evacuation expenses
  • Unlimited repatriation of remains expenses
  • Non-insurance 24/7 emergency travel assistance is included
  • 10 day free look period (restrictions apply)
  • For Canadian residents traveling outside of Canada
  • You must be a Canadian resident covered by a Canadian government health insurance plan (GHIP) in your province or territory of residence for the entire duration of your trip.
  • You must not have been diagnosed with a Terminal Sickness
  • You must not require kidney dialysis
  • You must not require assistance from another person(s) with activities of daily living
  • You must never have had a heart, kidney, liver, lung transplant or bone marrow transplant
  • In the last 12 months, you have not been prescribed or utilized home oxygen therapy at any time
  • Rates are based on age and trip length
  • Coverage for a maximum trip length of 90 days for travelers up to age 59
  • Coverage for a maximum trip length of 60 days for travelers ages 60 - 69
  • Coverage for a maximum trip length of 16 days for travelers ages 70 - 89
